The Showcase Cinemas Erdington has closed after 20 years of entertaining the community. Very sad for the local community. See article in the sutton observer 01/02/13 or Email: suttonobserver@cintamworth. Co. Uk what do you think?

Dreadful. No loo roll or locks on first 4 loos I tried and no soap in first dispenser.

We stuck to the floor in the actual film.

Complained to the Duty Manager who muttered something about difficulty in getting locks...

We won't be going back there.

Pretty poor I have to say. The manager had to be called to get my tickets as the machine and staff had problems, apparently simply because I had made multiple bookings using the same card. So the 3 of us missed the start of the film despite being 15 minutes early for it. The the film itself...the cinema was one of only 120 cinemas nationwide to screen the film "Celebration Day" for one-day only, 2 showings. This is a concert film of a rock band, a famously loud band at that, yet their sound system far from being at 11, must have been set to 2, really pathetic. After 5 minutes I jumped out of my seat, ran down to the foyer to get someone to turn the damn volume up, the guy was most helpful and I guess it did eventually get turned up to like 4 or 5 but still not a concert-like experience for anyone...quite poor.

NO DRINK HOLDERS??? COMBINED WITH SQUEAKY SEATS!!!Showcase in Birmingham is terrible. Now we all like to be polite in the cinema, not talking to loud or moving about alot to distract other peoples eyes off the screen behind us (well exept these chav kids what like to make alot of noise to act hard to cover up the fact there actualy quite weak individuals with heroin or crack adicted parents/parent), now imagi e having to bend down to pick up your beverage everytime you need a drink and the chair squealing away like nuts, NOT GOOD!!

Went to see Alpha and Omega 3D on Sunday . I couldnt believe i had to pay £8.10 for my 5 year old. Adult price was £8.60 . Never go there again. Other cinemas i Birmingham are much better and have cup holders and sits are more comfortable and never paid that much . I understand that 3D more expensive but common.... for a child to pay as much as for an adult ....

i hated my experience in this cinema i got charge for taking my 16 months baby in the moves when he sleep-ed threw the move in my lap so donut see why i had to pay for his ticket no other cinemas charge for taking baby so why did showcase? and the seats were dreadful and uncomfortable and had no drink holders on the side for me to put my drink in so you can imagine me with my baby and drink in my hand and the seating wasn't like the other cinemas which be like stadium seats they were all flat stat in a rows.

Can't believe you would take your baby to the cinema in the first place, and then you have the nerve to complain there were no drink holderswhat did you expect - a high chair for your baby! Unbelievable!

is this person serious perhaps afew weeks at night school to help their spelling and phrasing would be more advantagous than nights sitting in cinamas looking for cup holders and other reasons of complaint, and they can bring the infant along too

This is a great cinema, friendly staff comfy seats, and a first class sound system better than most, I know I am ex cinema sound engineer.

That person complaining about having to pay for her baby, with your attitude you should be allowed in a cinema, you sound like Jeremy Kyle material to me, get a life
