Unlike the previous reviewer, apparently, I actually paid some attention (Emma is a doctor, not a nurse), and found the premise, though not what was promised, which has nothing to do with the film's direction but with idiot marketing people, was funny and believable. I liked Emma and I liked the very frank depiction of sex. In the cinema in which I saw it, there were very frequently people laughing out loud, and I was one of them. I actually liked that it was longer than an average rom-com, as the story was engaging and I was happy to watch more.
The supporting cast was very good, though I found the father's character a bit charicatured. Overall, a really enjoyable laugh-out-loud comedy that I would definitely recommend, though not to anyone who is squeamish about sex, as it was very frank.

Film of the Week

The Conjuring (15)

Hugely enjoyable, genuinely scary horror flick that provides a welcome throwback to classic 1970s chillers, thanks to impeccable production design, a superb script, powerfully atmospheric direction, intense set-pieces and terrific performances.
