a few years ago i had the worst hotel experience i've ever had. the place had been advertised as a sleek, well organised and neat hotel, but on arrival we came to realise we'd been had. first of all we had to wait at reception for a good half an hour (there was no bell) until the 'manager' turned up. our room was disgusting, with several suspect stains about the place and horrible 80s decor and the telly had a postit onit saying 'will be fixed later'. but the worst was to come from the other guests. we saw one woman, whom you could only describe as haggered bringing a slimy looking fellow to the room next to us.
i'll skip the rest but just say we ended up leaving that night.
has anyone else been duped into spending money on a hotel that makes faulty towers seem like a luxury five star establishment?

I wasnt there but my parents had saved up to go on holiday to spain and the hotel theyd booked with looked amazing. As is often the case when they got there it was a buliding site, miles from anything, the pool was out of use and you could not go into most of the hotel because of dust. they ended up getting moved to a different hotel after 2 days of complaining to the travel agent but I felt really bad for them

i cant believe travel agents can get away with this type of false advertising.

i once got bed bugs from a dodgey hostel in brisbane.

a lesson that you must research a hostel before going there. although the same can be said of me and my horror hotel!

this is why i never leave the house...

The worst i can remember is when 'adult only' hairs were found on supposedly clean sheets! not nice, and certinly not worth paying for!
