Ive been in this Pub and it is a disgrace. The "fresh homemade" food is best Asda frozen. The drinks are cheap and bought from local supermarkets. Watered down yak.
If that wasn't bad enough meet the landlady ! Rude and ugly, what a combination !
If you are actually drunk off your head and crawling in the street, put the effort in and crawl somewhere else because you will be disappointed.
very warm welcome from julie and des appreciated all help given freely and kindly considerate and patient given my wife is a wheelchair user. Very clean and comfortable room topped off by a hearty breakfast. highly recommended for short stay when visiting tamworth to see show at the assembly hall which is almost on doorstep.
How on earth did these people get the job of managing a pub? Disgusting service, no customer care, get what you pay for attitude. How the bar maid can be put in front of the public is beggars belief! If you are after a nice pub with a pleasant atmosphere stay well clear !
I have also found as the first reviewer that the reception in this venue is disgusting, the barmaid is extremely rude and hostile, after asking for food that was ordered and paid for and not delivered to be told thats all you get and then ignored, then to be questioned on a conversation with my husband, and subject to the most foul abusive language, and then the manager asking what do we expect for the price, courtesy costs nothing, try this venue at your peril.
Particularly discourteous staff at this venue.
I was served a pint of bitter that was off and when I complained after taking a sip the barman took a large glug said it was fine and put the pint back in front of me. I repeated that the pint was off and then he threw the pint away and walked off!
After telling them i thought their behaviour was disgusting eventually £2.50 was slapped down on the bar and the doorman was ordered to throw us out.
Amazed that they get any trade at all
I have stayed at this bed and breakfast a few times and have always had a pleasant stay. The bar is really well decorated and comfatable and the choice of drinks is excellent.
