Following my last report I didn’t believe the situation could get worst. How naive am I? Saturday 11th February 2012 the pub is closing to the general public at 6.30pm. Why? Would you believe they booked a double function for the same evening? So they have to use the bar area to accommodate one of the parties. Bad management that’s an understatement, what on earth are the owners doing? Have they given up on this pub?

Not a good pub due to bad management. Advertised as showing sport but can only show Premier league Games as it is beam in from a foreign station. Therefore can’t show Birmingham city Games.
When a game is on, the Juke Box is blaring out loud music and the staff won’t turn it off for the duration of the game. They seem to think what they want counts not the customer. Children running around, playing football, even sometimes riding bikes. Staff spend their time standing at the end of the bar speaking to their friends rather then attending to the needs of their customers. And then you have the dope heads that seem to indulge in what they want and get away with it.
Unless there is a big shake up in the way this pub is run it will surely close.

I was invited to the Yew Tree Restaurant for a pre-opening event for local businesses. Whilst there we were treated to lovely food, spectacular service, good entertainment and an atmosphere that was buzzing. I will definately be visiting again soon with my friends and family.

I always have a drink atthe Yew Tree before going home and relaxing after work. Nice place to have a few bevies and not too over powering when it gets busy.
