A small and elegant Italian restaurant in the heart of the leafy suburb of Sutton Coldfield. Locals flock here when a special occasion arises and the warm welcome you receive will see you return again and again for those special moments.

The Venue
When you walk into Pizza By Goli you're taken aback by the simple but elegant decor. Murals on the walls of angels are inspiringly beautiful and the restaurant is set out so that the main feature is the kitchen which is open for all to see.

Talented chefs work away behind the counter to create authentic Italian food and it's always a delight to try to spot which is your meal. One drawback of such a smallish venue is the placing of the bar which is in the warmest part of the restaurant and would benefit from being moved nearer the door. You won’t notice this minor detail though as you will be enjoying the food too much.

The People
Couples hide away in this emotive setting while the attentive staff cater to your every romantic whim including two spoons for those scrumptious deserts. This restaurant offers the perfect setting to taste great food and drink with friends for a special celebration or just with your loved ones on a night out. The service is always friendly but on occasion they seem to employ younger waiters who don’t seem to hold the same professionalism as the reliable regular staff.

The Food
This is the big attraction and it's great. The menu is long and you could end up ordering an unexciting dish just because it's easier but if you speak to the waiters they'll guide you on some superb choices.

One of two dishes that stand out at Pizza By Goli is the garlic bread which costs £4.75. It drips with garlic butter, you may even find it dripping down your mouth as you eat, and you'll definitely want to lick the plate afterwards but probably best not to do this in public.

The second beloved dish is the famous folded pizza for £8.95. The aim of this dish is to stuff as much topping in as they can and it will certainly arouse your tastbud. Needless to say this is a manly dish. The desserts are also delicious and with the best Italian coffee in the area you can wash down your meal happy in the knowledge you will be returning to try the other mouth-watering desserts such as the tiramisu for £4.95.

The Drink
Ranging from £10.95 for a bottle of Italian white wine and £18.95 for a bottle of red you will not be disappointed with the variety of tastes on offer. The selection of beers and mixed drinks is disappointing though and could be better value for money.

The Last Word
The waiters are always attentive and the food is out of this world but the real sweet touch is the dolly mixture added to the bill plate at the end of your meal.
